HEGGEL®️ MORTARS
HEGGEL Mortars are acid and alkali resistant mortars used in the acid and process industries primarily for laying and grouting ceramic or carbon bricks and moldings to produce chemically, thermally and mechanically resistant coatings and protective linings.
HEGGEL Mortars are characterized by their impermeable structure and wide range of chemical resistance to acids, alkalis and hydrocarbons.
HEGGEL Mortars offer a versatile range of products with different binders, such as Furan, Potassium-Silicate, Phenolic, Vinyl Ester and Epoxy resins, each covering a range of mechanical and chemical resistance.
HEGGEL®️ EP 610
Temperature Resistant Epoxy Resin Based Mortar
HEGGEL EP 610 is a two-component, high resilient and temperature resistant epoxy resin-based mortar.
Characteristics:
- Resilient at higher temperatures
- Temperature resistance up to +150°C (steel substrates)
HEGGEL®️ EP 611
Wear Resistant Epoxy Resin Based Filler System
HEGGEL EP 611 is a highly wear resistant filler system with hard material fillers based on an epoxy resin.
Characteristics:
- Short curing time
- Highly wear resistant
- Joint less
- Overhead application possible
- Layer thicknesses from 5 mm up to 40 mm
- Temperature resistance up to +150°C (steel substrates)
HEGGEL®️ PL 620
Synthetic Phenolic Resin Based Mortar
HEGGEL PL 620 is a two-component mortar based on a modified phenolic resole resin and carbon filler for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic and carbon bricks
- Extremely high chemical resistance, especially to acids, solvents and weak oxidizing chemicals
- The hardened mortar conducts electricity
- Suitable for linings, where a pre-stressing must be achieved
HEGGEL®️ PL 621
High-Performance Phenolic Resin Based Mortar
HEGGEL PL 621 is a black, two-component, cold curing synthetic mortar based on a modified phenol resin with carbon fillers.
Characteristics:
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic and carbon bricks
- Extremely high chemical resistance, especially to acids and solvents
- The hardened mortar is electrical conductive
- HEGGEL PL 621 SOLUTION does not separate water during storage
- Very good application because of dust free fillers
HEGGEL®️ FU 631
Furan Resin Based Mortar with Carbon Fillers
HEGGEL FU 631 is a two-component mortar based on a modified furan resin with carbon filler used for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic bricks, tiles or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Temperature resistance up to 220°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of media: Various inorganic and organic acids and alkalis (including hydrofluoric acid), solvents, hydrocarbons, greases, oils and fuels
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
- Electrically conductive
- Suitable for tank linings, as the relatively high shrinkage does not have as strong an effect here as with large-area floor tilings
HEGGEL®️ FU 633
Advanced Furan Resin Based Mortar
HEGGEL FU 633 is a two-component mortar based on a modified aldehyde-free furan resin used for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic bricks, tiles or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Temperature resistance up to 180°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of media: Various inorganic and organic acids and alkalis, solvents, hydrocarbons, oils and fuels
- Applicable with a joint injector
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
- Electrically conductive
- Economical due to favourable resin / filler ratio / high filler content of the mortar

HF Resistant Furan Resin Based Mortar
HEGGEL FU 638 is a two-component aldehyde-free mortar based on a modified furan resin and hydrofluoric acid-resistant fillers for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of media: Various inorganic and organic acids and alkalis (including hydrofluoric acid), greases, oils and fuels, solvents and various hydrocarbons.
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
- Temperature resistance up to 180°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Electrically conductive
- Economical use due to favourable resin/filler ratio
HEGGEL®️ VE 640
Synthetic Epoxy Novolac Vinylester Mortar
HEGGEL VE 640 is a multi-component synthetic resin mortar made from a blend of Epoxy Novolac Vinyl-Ester resin and a quartz-based filler. Its primary purpose is facilitating easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant tiles and bricks. For applications demanding electrical conductivity or hydrofluoric acid resistance, HEGGEL VE 641 is the recommended choice.

Epoxy Novolac Vinylester Mortar with Carbon Fillers

HEGGEL PS 655 is a two-component mortar, formulated with a modified unsaturated polyester resin. This mortar is specifically engineered for the convenient installation and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic tiles and bricks.

High-Temperature Water Glass Mortar
HEGGEL SP 660 is a two-component halogen-free mortar formulated with water glass, primarily designed for the comprehensive bedding and jointing of acid-resistant tiles, bricks, and moulded parts. It is ideally suited for applications in floor tiling or as a lining for tanks.

HEGGEL®️ SP 662
Temperature Resistant Potassium Silicate mortar
HEGGEL SP 662 is a halogen free potassium silicate mortar, which has been specially designed to be used by spraying (similar to sprayed concrete). HEGGEL SP 662 is a compact system which includes a specially formulated hardener, which by mixing with water, chemically reacts to harden.
Characteristics:
- Hardening at room temperature therefore self-supporting brickwork, even before sintering
- Fast sintering, which prevents the mortar flowing out of the joints
- Temperature Resistance up to +1400°C
- The expansion coefficient is similar to ceramic bricks

Halogen-Free Sodium Silicate Mortar
HEGGEL SP 664 is a halogen-free Sodium Silicate mortar, which in order to be applied only needs to be mixed with water; which chemically reacts with the powder to harden. The Hardener and Binder are included in the powder.

Halogen-Free Water Glass Mortar
HEGGEL SP 668 is a two-component, halogen-free water glass mortar designed for bedding and joining of acid-resistant tiles or bricks specially on floors. Tile lining systems bedded and jointed with HEGGEL SP 668 provide strong resistance to chemicals and heat, especially in acidic and neutral environments.
Characteristics:
- Excellent acid resistance (not including hydrofluoric acid)
- Highly resistant to oxidizing agents, organic solvents, oils, greases, and fuels
- Water-resistant, suitable for neutral pH environments, and rainwater-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use
- Temperature resistance up to 450°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Can be applied to metal surfaces without pre-treatment
- Halogen-free
